Cold freezing temperatures, wind, fog, and rain are some of the winter elements that we may encounter. We tend to stay at home more often during the winter, but did you know that most house fires happen during the winter season?
Some of the most common causes are heaters, fireplaces, candles, and even cooking/kitchen accidents. To help stay clear of any house fires here are a few tips to keep in mind:
Make sure heaters are clear of any flammable contents in case of a tip over, fireplace is clean of any debris and has a screen. Candles should be blown out every time you leave the room and remember do not have too many cooks in the kitchen and always keep an eye on the stove.
